A true enthusiast of classic 4x4s such as the Land Rover Defender, Toyota, and Jeep, I had long dreamed, like many others, of owning a customized and upgraded vehicle with a sporty design. However, the high cost of such exceptional vehicles made that dream nearly unreachable.
One day, I decided to take on the restoration and customization work myself, relying on a network of professionals across Europe. My goal was simple: create the ideal vehicle with a controlled budget — to pursue my passion without breaking the bank.
Impossible, you might think? Not quite.
The restoration journey began with the acquisition of a Land Rover Defender 110. After extensive research across Europe, I found the perfect candidate: in good working condition, no major rust, no serious bodywork needed, and fairly priced. The interior didn't matter much — I was planning to rebuild it entirely and personalize it anyway.
With relentless passion and excitement, and after countless hours of research, upgrades, and custom work, the result exceeded my expectations: my Defender looked stunning and instantly drew attention from enthusiasts. More than that, it sparked conversations, connections, and the realization that many others shared the same dream. Even my wife caught the bug — she asked me to prepare one for her to join the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles!
Today, I want to make this dream accessible to others — men and women alike — to restore and personalize their own vehicles without overspending.
And that's how Art & Custom was born.
